Proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on prudential requirements for credit institutions and investment firms – Presidency Compromise

The EU is set to make its banking sector more resilient to financial shocks, as stricter capital requirements for banks and investment firms were given political approval by the Economic and Financial Affairs Council on 15 May 2012.
